A belated Happy Holidays to everyone, again. To celebrate my second annual “Not Dead Yet” holiday surprise, I proudly present to you a printable custom fate deck. The deck is fully complete except for the art. It contains all text, suits, numbers, auras, etc. from the original deck, only without the copyrighted art or character names. Instead, the files are a .png image with transparency so that you can use a photo editing program to add your own art. Simply slide an appropriately-sized picture behind the template and fill in the character name to complete.
A belated Happy Holidays, everyone. No, I’m not dead, and neither is this site. At least not quite yet. As a gift in honor of the winter holiday of your choice, I proudly present to you the latest entry into my “Ultimate Guide” series: The Ultimate Guide to Mystery, Murder, and Mayhem.
I admit that it is in many ways merely a rewrite/edit of the Ultimate Guide to Adventure to give it a murder mystery theme. However, please trust me when I say that even merely “changing flavors” on the guide took a tremendous amount of work. Additionally, I wanted to maintain a certain stylistic consistency in content and format that I most likely could not have achieved writing a second guide from scratch. That said, I feel there is still more than enough new (or at least different) content within its pages to warrant a read-through. At any rate, I hope you enjoy it, corner-cutting notwithstanding.
A new, never-before-published resource, The Ultimate Guide to Adventure, is now available for download in the Ultimate Guides section of the Downloads page.
I actually finished this up nearly a month ago, and was just doing some last-minute proofreading and revising, when a series of computer issues lead to the file being inaccessible. Now that I have the computer repaired and working again, I wanted to upload the file before something else happened. If it is somewhat less-polished than my normal work, that is why. I will try to re-upload a revised edition later, after doing more extensive proofreading. In the meantime, I hope you find it useful and interesting as-is.
The Skills and Powers Guide has been Updated to version 1.1.
Changes:
The “Disguise” skill has been marked as adjusting difficulty for Imitation and Shapeshifting actions.
I’m still working on projects here and there in my spare time, but am no longer actively working towards completing them on a schedule.
The materials for the Articles, Charts & Tables, and Hero Sheet Templates sections are now complete. The templates have simply been re-uploaded, all other posted materials have been updated, edited, and improved, so be sure to check them out.
Updates are ongoing, so expect Packets, Roster Books, and Guides to be posted as they become available. A few are already posted, and I hope to get the rest out at a rate of roughly 1 per week, time and interest permitting.
All files have been updated as follows, whenever possible.

- Updated contact and copyright information
- Printer-friendly page breaks
I was searching the web for some comic book info, when, much to my surprise, I saw my own name listed in the google results page. I had inadvertently bumped into a page that linked to my old (and now missing) MSHAG website. In it, the site author noted that it was a great site and that I used to update a lot, but it seemed to have gone inactive.
Well, I must admit I felt a bit bad/guilty for letting things slip away so much. It was never my intention to abandon the MSHAG community completely, but life happened: people moved, interests changed, and I no longer played the game, so I just didn’t spend as much time thinking about it as I used to do.
That being said, I felt it was something of a shame for the community to be deprived of that resource, especially when I put so much effort into creating the materials to begin with. (I say this not because I feel my work was particularly noteworthy, but because of the general rarity of content available.) To that end, I intend to update, edit, and repost as much as I can of my old materials.
The internet has changed and free web services are much easier to come by and have far fewer strings attached than they used to. This site, at least, doesn’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon, so with any luck, the files will still be available for use even if I tend to be neglectful in my update schedule. I’m not sure how forgiving the download limits are (I haven’t made downloads available on my other blogs), but hopefully they will suffice to meet the needs of the remaining MSHAG community.
